This week has witnessed player battle it out at the final tables of different prestigious tournaments. Another of this weeks’ major beneficially of the poker games is Jonathan Tamayo who won the most prestigious WSOP circuit palm beach Kennel Club Main event. The events which come to its official closing last Tuesday had attracted a total of 670 entrants over two flights gathering an impressive pool prize amount of $1.

Jonathan Tamayo emerged the victor earning $206, 020 first place prize cash, a championship gold ring and a seat at the World Series of poker circuit National Champion this year in the month of May. The final day of the tournament started off with a total of 30 players but as soon as the games began, most of the players were quickly eliminated from the games. Some of the notable players eliminated from the games that day included Pedro Rios at 29th position, Abbey Daniels 27th, Sheddy Siddiqui 19th and Bryan Companello at 18th position. Companello has participated in other major events including the World Series of Circuit Choctaw main event where he finished 4th and in World Series of Poker Circuit Harrah’s Tunica main event.

This was just but another wrapping of a major tournament that has continued to be witnessed at these early months of 2013 as more and more tournaments continue to arise. We might however continue witnessing the trend whereby most pro are eliminating with none or just a few of them making it to the final table of all the events. While it’s new to see new talent coming in, one cannot help to wonder what will happen to the dominant players who seem to be on the verge of been shadowed by the new players.
