The first batch of European Poker Tour Grand Final side events of 2015 PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino was reported last week by us. Some 30 non-satellite events were completed at that time out of the scheduled 78-events and the results of those events were underlining names like Scott Seiver and Bryn Kenney.
Now let us look at the left out events from last time, and these events again are highlighting some famous names running away with trophies. Notable faces were seen in the first three events with buy-in of €5,000. German poker star Philipp Gruissem won €5,300 Hold’em Eight Handed No-Limit event from a field containing some 121 entries.
The German took away a purse of €147,700 and outwitted the final table which was stacked heavy and the names included Sylvain Loosli at the second spot with€99,800, Fabian Quoss at the 3rd place with -€64,800), Shyam Srinivasan at 4th with €53,700, Joao Vieira at 5th with €43,300, Mayu Roca at 6th with €34,200 and Jason Mo at 7th with €26,100.
82 entries were produced in €5,200 No-Limit Hyper-Turbo Hold’em, and the top honor was cornered by the one and only Dan Smith notching up €109,370. This is the fourth win in the €5,000 buy-in event for Smith, at the Monaco EPT Grand Final. Way back in 2012 he took a combined winning of €521, 480 when he won three €5,000 events famously in a week’s time.
Other notable winners of the Smith event was David Dayan standing at third position with €50,900, and David Yan at the fourth place with €39,170, David Yan with €39,170 at fourth place and Salman Behbehani winning €11,335 at ninth position. The journey of €5,000 events lastly saw Jason Koon scoring €21,830 in the second half, as he won the €5,200 Turbo 8-Game 6-Handed event.
