The current rankings for the GPI (Global Poker Index) 300 have been unveiled and there was a huge change in the top twenty of the list which saw Erik Seidel, the American poker pro dip 17 positions as well as out of the top twenty to go down all the way to twenty-third on that list.

It should have hit as a little shock to Erik Seidel, because he has never been outside top 20 positions on the Global Poker Index 300 since this rankings system first came in last year’s June. Erik Seidel, who is an 8-times WSOP (World Series of Poker) bracelet champ, dropped 474.42 points and at this point stays with 2,000.16 points, that is 934.51 behind Global Poker Index 300 first spot leader Mercier, who now has 2,934.67 points.

Erik Seidel has been going down the poker rankings quite steadily in recent times and Erik is becoming to have to finish tough during the first period of scoring in Global Poker Index 300 if he really wants to watch his bedazing fall halted.

The rest of top 10 positions in the Global Poker Index 300 also watched slight shake-up along with two brand new names coming into the top ten in Jonathan Duhamel and Andrew Lichtenberger both going up two positions from eleventh and twelfth, respectively. There was a brand new name in top-3 of the Global Poker Index 300 rankings along with David Sands going up from fifth overall to third in the rankings.
